Hi, I am Lucia an Italian Tutor in Connecticut.

I was born and raised in Italy. I spent most of my life in Vico Equense, close to the wonderful Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

FROM THE BEGINNING

I could say that I started teaching at the age of 7 to my grandmother. She spoke mostly in Neapolitan and didn't know how to write proper Italian, so I decided to bring her pen and paper and we started with the alphabet.

Over the time I helped a lot of students, mostly from the United States, to reach their goals with the Italian language.

I LOVE LEARNING LANGUAGES 

I have always had a passion for languages and linguistics. I speak Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, I learned some Russian and I am currently studying Portuguese and Swedish while keep on working on the other languages - you never really stop learning a language! And I am willing to add more languages to the list!

If I can learn other languages, why can’t you learn Italian?

Of course it isn’t easy all the way, but if you have a good motivation and the right approach you can certainly learn and speak Italian. No matter what your age is.

I LOVE TEACHING ITALIAN 

During my studies, in addition to learning other languages, I fell more deeply in love with my own language, Italian. I decided to become an Italian Teacher and share the beauty of my language and culture so that you, like hundreds of students, can be able to communicate with Italian native speakers.

I want to give you the key to understand the Italian language to be able to talk with your relatives in Italy, travel in Italy, move to Italy or whatever is your goal with our Italian lessons.
